Nzinga Management appoints Executive Director: Alexandria Scott

East Lansing– The Nzinga Limited Liability Company (Nzinga Group) Board of Trustees has named Alexandria Scott as Executive Director of Nzinga Management Agency.

Scott's background as an executive director, combined with a deep passion for promoting brand-based content, which will help to further advance the mission of the organization that celebrated its 2th-anniversary last year. “We are thrilled to welcome Alex as our Executive Director,” says Susan McLain, Nzinga's Board of Directors & Trustees Vice President.“She will bring experience, enthusiasm, great communication skills, and fresh air to our organization. We feel very lucky to have found her and look forward to a successful and invigorating season with her at the helm.”

When Alex assumes the role on November 1, she will manage all day-to-day operations for Nzinga’s leading professional management agency, known for its dedication to creating a safe working environment for both employees and its clients. It's mostly known for creating great partnerships between brands and content creators. Alex will also lead fundraising programs, as well as marketing and community engagement initiatives. 

Alex will oversee the remainder of the company's 2022-24 Season, which includes the Influencer Tour & Influencer Gala which will happen during the 2024 year around May 10 and June 14th -15th. “We have every confidence that she will bring a firm commitment to excellence, the hallmark of our company,” says James Hopkins, Nzinga Pictures Director. “Nzinga Group continues to move forward as a vibrant and important entertainment industry, and with our new Executive Director in place, the company can excel for the benefit of our entire entertainment community for years to come.”

Alex succeeds Interim Executive Director Francis Longmyere, long-time patron and former Nzinga Board of Trustees member, who assumed the role in May 2017 when Nzinga was formally called "Social Records Music & Entertainment Services.

Hello, Family

I’m excited to be writing to you as the new Director of Nzinga Management. I’m truly honored to be part of this amazing, diverse organization, and I want to thank Mr. Blanks and the Board of Directors and Trustees for having faith in me to lead Nzinga Management into a new era.

I want to properly introduce myself to all the clients we have humbly served for the past few years, I also want to introduce myself to all the new clients we will endure in the following years. 

My name is Alexandria Scott but you can call me Alex, If you were to ask me to describe myself, I would say I am a  highly experienced and, highly resourceful leader. I have successfully helped start many business ideas with various organizations and brands. During Covid, I started to create Tiktok videos to help pass the time and to cope with the idea of not being able to go back to normalcy, so if you find my Tiktok account please know that I plan on being professional when it comes to working with clients and brand and always putting clients first. I’m originally from Jackson Michigan and I am working on getting my Masters in Business Administration at Spring Arbor University located in Spring Arbor Michigan. 

I am truly humbled by this opportunity. As we embark on a new journey together, we begin in the midst of a new area for Nzinga, new management, new mission, and of course new clients. I promise you I will put Nzinga Management first while I serve as the new director and I will always have the Mission of Nzinga as my compass and my truth north.

This doesn’t mean I won’t make mistakes - I have a lot to learn and will ask for your patience and support and help along the way. I'm looking forward to working with you all and helping the company to meet and exceed its targets.
